As we announced that the #iPadOnly book would be free and open sourced I didn’t have the time to finally dig out the old manuscript and import it until today.

As iPad celebrates 10th anniversary I thought it’d be great to finally have the entire book published. There are still a few quirks to iron out on this web site. I also want to add the original illustrations (done by me in Paper on iPad), but this can come later.

The book is published and you can now start reading.

We’re going open source! Initially launched in 2013 the #iPadOnly book is no longer as relevant as it used to be, but many concepts from this book still hold true now as they did then.

That’s why both authors Augusto Pinaud and Michael Sliwinski decided to put the entire contents of the book to GitHub as well as on this site and license it under Creative Commons Share-Alike license.

They both will update the book, change its contents and accept “pull requests” from anyone who wants to contribute. Let’s write the #iPadOnly book together!
